The Regulation applies directly in the EU. In Türkiye, the national legislation to be published within the framework of the Customs Union is being monitored.
What is changing?
- Conformity assessment procedures are set out in new annexes: Annex VII EU-type examination, Annex VIII conformity to type, Annex IX full quality assurance, Annex X unit verification.
- Products subject to third-party assessment are divided in Annex I into Part A and Part B.
- For Part A products a notified body is mandatory; for Part B, internal production control is possible if harmonised standards have been applied in full.
- Risks of digital origin, such as those relating to control systems, software and systems with self-evolving behaviour, are explicitly covered.
- Instructions for use may be provided in digital format.

- Plan the renewal of your existing 2006/42/EC certificates.
