Inspection services

We inspect on site whether chimneys and premises where gas appliances are located comply with the relevant legislation, standards and specifications.

Inspection process

We keep you informed in writing at every step, from application to report.

  1. 1

    Application

You complete the inspection application form; your request is reviewed with regard to scope, competence, equipment and impartiality.

  2. 2

    Quotation and contract

The quotation and inspection contract are sent to you, and the preparations required before the inspection are communicated.

  3. 3

    On-site inspection

Our inspector carries out the inspection on site according to the relevant programme and instructions.

  4. 4

    Reporting

The inspection report is prepared, checked and signed; nonconformities are notified separately.

Inspection application

Type A inspection body

We carry out our inspection activities as a third-party (Type A) inspection body. We are therefore not the designer, manufacturer, supplier, installer, owner, user or maintainer of the items we inspect, and we do not provide consultancy in this field. The remuneration of our inspection staff does not depend on the number or results of inspections performed.

Nonconformity and follow-up inspection

Nonconformities identified are clearly stated in the report and notified to you in writing. Findings that pose a direct threat to the safety of life and property are reported verbally without delay. Verification that nonconformities have been corrected is planned as a separate follow-up inspection.

We make no changes to the installation, chimney or appliance being inspected, and we do not propose design solutions for correcting deficiencies.
